Intectural Offers FR-Treated Wood Decking and Siding

Arbor Wood Co. and SaferWood by Chemco, Inc. have partnered to offer thermally modified, fire-retardant-treated decking and siding. The new line is now available through Intectural and will initially feature Arbor Wood’s southern yellow pine species

Arbor Wood Co. has partnered with SaferWood by Chemco, Inc. to offer thermally modified FR-treated decking and siding. The new line, which is available through Intectural, will initially feature Arbor Wood’s thermally modified southern yellow pine species treated with SaferWood’s exterior fire retardant, Thermex-FR.

Since 1981, SaferWood has passed extended surface burning tests and weathering as required by ASTM and model building codes, including the International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC) and International Wildland Urban Interface (IWUIC).
